Rx Refill Request
To Refill a prescription, click on the link above, log in to secure messaging, select Messages, then select New Messages, then select Prescription Refill Request.
Information to assist you with online refill prescriptions:
Which prescriptions may be refilled online?
1. Prescriptions originally filled at Student Health WITH REFILLS remaining (refills are noted in the bottom left hand corner of your prescription label).
2. Prescriptions that have not expired (less than 1 year from date originally written).
My prescription was written by an outside doctor and has no refills remaining at SHS pharmacy. What should I do?
Please contact your doctor and ask them to phone or FAX a new prescription to the SHS Pharmacy : (805) 893-2116 or FAX (805) 893-2736.
My prescription was written by an outside doctor and has no refills remaining. It was filled at an outside pharmacy. What should I do?
Call our outside pharmacy and ask them to phone or fax your doctor to request refill.
What if my prescription was written by a doctor or nurse practitioner at SHS but has no refills remaining?
You will need to allow extra time (24-48 hours) to process your request. Your provider may either write a new prescription or may advise you to make an appointment to further discuss your treatment.
If the need for your medication is medically urgent and you cannot wait 24 hours, please come in to the pharmacy or phone us at (805) 893-2116. We will assess your situation and advise you on your options.
What if I’m not sure if I have any refills remaining?
The bottom left hand corner of your prescription label shows the number of refills remaining, or in the case of birth control may simply state ”May Refill”. If no refills remain, you will need to allow 24-48 hours to process your request. Your provider may either write a new prescription or may advise you to make an appointment to further discuss your treatment.
When will my prescription be ready to pick up?
If there are refills remaining on your prescription it will usually be ready for pick up the next business day. We are open Monday through Friday excluding holidays.
Special order medication may require an additional 2 days to process.
Pharmacy Hours:
Quarterly: 8:00 - 4:30, except on Wednesdays, open at 9:00, Thursdays open until 7:00pm
Winter Break: 9:00 - 12:00
Spring Break: 9:00 - 12:00
Summer Session: 9:00 -12:30 and 1:30 - 4:30
